I hate it when I have my emotional swings (I'm doing to a doctor about here soon since the weather here has been bad and I couldn't drive) and I'm told to "deal with it." Sure... when my moods hit a peak and it's unbearable to the point I cry because I'm so confused, I'll "deal with it."
and to me, "deal with it" sounds like a snarky response from someone being a snob. Or how I see it

Oh, yeah, I'll admit that I get fed up with hearing 'deal with it' a lot. It's got a childish sound to it as well. So I have to deal with something, and they can do whatever they want? I don't think that's right, personally.
she's my friend, she would just come up with a witty come back. She doesn't give a fuck about what you say, so why do you care about what she says? Sure, some of her opinons aren't, well, you know. I definatly don't think suicide is an irl raegquit, but she's a nice person.
Besides, when you say "Deal with it", it's making you sound kind of coldhearted. The term means "I don't care about you and you're gonna have to get used to me, so shut up and agree with me." or "I won't change my problem. You're just gonna have to live with it.", so I personally would avoid using it, as about 92% of the people that you meet on DA (or anywhere else on the Internet, as a matter of fact) you probably don't know in real life. You don't want to accidentally insult someone.

I hate that phrase too. As well as "get over it". If anything, adding such comments to one's statement only makes the statement in question even more angering. And usually, when something bothers us, we can't just shove it aside and be done with it. Maybe it bothers us too much. Maybe we want to contest to it, to question it, to argue against it. Maybe it just bugs us.
When I hear "deal with it", what I'm really hearing is "I wish to start unnecessary drama and cause essentially undue hostility. I shall shove my right to enjoy/participate in such-and-such down your throat, and I refuse to waste my precious, valuable time contemplating or even recognizing your unimportant views and beliefs on the subject. I accept no accountability for my opinions, and should you choose to disagree with them, yours become immediately irrelevant. ” But with a more dismissive tone.
