Internet-wise (read: deviantART wise), they definitely are. I've heard some amazing stories about foxes and their cunning from my father, who used to see them hunt around his house all the time when he was younger, but many on the internet seem to focus on... other aspects of them. I like them. I just don't think they're going to be shooting up my favorite animal list too quickly.
Truthfully, the foxes family is my favorite. I plan to work with them as I grow up. Where I live is very hard to get them, so I may just ask Pat if I can help care for hers for a while. Loved them since I was little <3
I like fennecs best. I can say I'm guilty with some sort of fox fursona.
But it's true. There are so many foxes used as sonas, or obsessed fantards. "OMG U K1LL3D A F0X" They are over-populated. And they are places where they don't belong.
I have a fox tail I got from my Native American friend. And a fox fur coat my family passed down to me. Very warm, and good for the winters when I head to Alaska. Each to their own, I suppose :3

Amen! The cutest non-domesticated canine is the bush dog, although things like civets and genets have similar appealing features to foxes with the added bonus of much more amazing patterns. Why can't they have more love?
