6,692,000,000+ people in the world and you think the girl next door is your soulmate?

Seems unlikely if you ask me...

I think it's possible just HIGHLY unlikely, especially for teenagers and young adults. My parents are soul mates, they've been married for more than twenty years but they met when they were 30 so, it them a long time. I don't think a soul mate has to be someone you're in a romantic relationship with.

I think it can be possible.
Because I have found him when he needed me the most. We are best friends and lovers and something more. But you never will find out if you are blind about it and confuse it with love.

i think you do find one person who you really connect with above all else, be it romantic or friendship wise. it's a touchy subject really...my mom's fiance passed away almost two years ago, and she believes he was her soulmate but she hasn't given up on getting back out there and dating again. my dad got sick when I was really young, but he didn't treat her very well so it wasn't as big a loss and she never really talks about it being romantic, because he was somewhat abusive before he got MS. he was angry a lot. a lot of crap has happened..anyway I'm babbling. I guess the point is my mom is a good role model for me, and a lot of young people think they find their soulmate in high school and stuff like that but then when they break up think it's the end of the world. I've learned better.

In your opinion. But personally, I think all of my lesbian friends who are couples will be happy til the end.

Young people desperately need to have some sense slapped into them.

I think it's an over-used term...and I don't think people only have "one" soulmate. I personally define the term as someone you have a connection with on a soul-to-soul level, but not just once or twice...on a fairly regular basis. I'm not sure it's even a romantic term for me. ^^' I think the term implies understanding the other person on a very deep level and bringing out the best in each other to a point both people want to become better people for it.

I thought a soulmate was someone u connected with on a really deep level and u could relate with and u really loved and wanted to be with forever...meh think the soul part is just a word people use to connect with. Thought it was just a term. Clearly i am wrong?
